Child Support
Child support issues arise in many different types of family law actions, including divorce, modification of child custody or support, legitimation and paternity. Georgia law requires both parents to contribute to the support of their children. The amount each parent contributes is determined by his/her monthly earnings as well as the amount of money each parent pays toward other child related expenses. Other factors that may be considered when determining each parent’s support obligation are : the amount of time each parent cares for the children; a parent’s support obligation for other children from a different relationship; and travel costs to visit with the children. Child support is subject to modification by either parent based on a significant changed in circumstances.
The child support guidelines are very specific. If you desire more information regarding this issues you can go to Here or call me.
